Cerrad Enea Czarni defeated Aluron Virtu CMC Zawiercie 3-1 in PlusLiga Matchday 8. Team from Radom repaid Jurassic Knights for losing playoff quarterfinals last season.
Although the match started with an ace of Marcin Waliński, guests quickly gained an advantage of a few points. However, Jurassic Knights did not lay down their arms and have won 4 points in a row since 16-20 result. After a while Karol Butryn served an ace and this time Cerrad Enea Czarni defended a two-point lead until the end.
The second set was slightly similar to the first one but this time Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom took a three-point lead a little later. Aluron Virtu CMC could not find their rythm at the service line and thus had problems with chasing opponents. As a result guests won to 19.
Hosts started the third set with Bartek Gawryszewski in the six. His difficult serves and great block by Mateusz Malinowski allowed Aluron Virtu CMC to take a two-point lead after an even start. Jurassic Knights finally began to successfully dig rivals attacks and win extended actions more often. The ace of Karol Butryn allowed Radom team to decrease their loss to just one point but Michał Filip’s error after a while let yellow-green come back to bigger lead and finally win 25-21.
In the first actions of the next set players from Zawiercie kept their momentum but the Cerrad Enea Czarni point series thanks to Karol Butryn’s strong serves allowed them to take a 7-4 lead. Great-playing guests did not gave up their control of the game anymore. Karol Butryn was chosen the MVP.
